Sicklerville is a rapidly growing community located primarily within Winslow Township, Camden County, New Jersey.
Sicklerville has a desirable location approximately 20 miles southeast of Philadelphia and 40 miles west of Atlantic City. Sicklerville was founded as “Sickler Town” in the 1850s by Paul Sickler.
Winslow Township is the largest township, by area, in Camden County, with Sicklerville responsible for much of its growth. Winslow Township is criss-crossed by several major roads, such as U.S. Route 30, Route 73, and Route 143. In addition, the Atlantic City Expressway passes through the southwestern part of the township, with four interchanges: Exits 41, 38, 33, and 31.
Although much of its land sits in the Pineland National Reserve, many agricultural areas still remain, along with more modern housing options. Sicklerville offers lots of recreational programs and facilities, and good schools within the Winslow Township system. It is also the proud home of 2012 Olympic Gold Medal wrestler Jordan Burroughs.
